{"id":3367,"date":"2024-05-23T09:46:14","date_gmt":"2024-05-23T07:46:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/campinglepalme.it\/2024\/05\/24\/gite-organizzate-copy\/"},"modified":"2024-05-24T15:37:43","modified_gmt":"2024-05-24T13:37:43","slug":"organized-trips","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.campinglepalme.it\/en\/organized-trips\/","title":{"rendered":"Organized trips"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"flex flex-grow flex-col max-w-full\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] text-message flex flex-col items-start whitespace-pre-wrap break-words [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5 juice:w-full juice:items-end overflow-x-auto gap-2\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"4329b94c-ab77-4ef7-b615-7d954ad45dac\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 juice:empty:hidden juice:first:pt-[3px]\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"0\">Bibbona is an excellent base for exploring Tuscan art cities and islands.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"1\">Only 50 minutes by car is the beautiful <strong>Volterra<\/strong>, where the history of several centuries has merged with the city and the surrounding nature. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"2\">Volterra was one of the main city states of ancient Tuscany, and its historic center is of Etruscan origin, with the Porta dell&#8217;Arco, the Porta Diana, most of the city walls and the Acropolis, where you can still see the foundations of two temples and various buildings. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"3\">There are also Roman ruins and medieval buildings such as the Palazzo dei Priori, the Medici Fortress and the Cathedral. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"4\">The latter was built between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries; <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"5\">the interior was restored in the nineteenth century, while the bell tower dates back to 1400. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"6\">The baptistery, located in front of the Duomo, was built in the middle of 1200.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"7\">From Bibbona it is easy to reach the city that houses the most famous leaning tower in the world: <strong>Pisa<\/strong>. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"8\">One of the ancient maritime republics, Pisa offers an invaluable artistic and historical heritage. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"9\">One of the most famous places is certainly the Piazza dei Miracoli, where, in a huge green lawn surrounded by walls, there are the Duomo, the Baptistery, the Monumental Cemetery and the famous Tower of Pisa. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"10\">There are many palaces, churches, villas and bridges to see, and many are the little known places to discover, such as the mural Tuttomondo by Keith Haring, a contemporary pearl offered by this city.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"11\">Another destination not to be missed is the magnificent <strong>Florence<\/strong>. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"12\">World Heritage and birthplace of the Renaissance, it is still today recognized as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"13\">Don\u2019t miss the famous Piazza della Signoria, with the Palazzo Vecchio and the nearby Uffizi Gallery. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"14\">The Accademia Gallery, which houses the famous David by Michelangelo, and the Pitti Palace are other must-sees. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-index=\"15\">Florence also offers shopping opportunities, literary cafes, boutiques, great restaurants and markets to visit.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>From Bibbona you can take advantage of the ferry service to <strong>Elba Island<\/strong>. The island offers golden beaches and crystal clear waters, landscapes surrounded by unspoilt nature, mountain villages and terraces overlooking the sea that offer breathtaking views.
